about

Introducing Doomcult's latest release, Life has Failed, the third album by the Dutch doom-metal outfit. In this one-hour journey of doom, traditional doom influences blend seamlessly with elements of 90s doom/death, funeral, and sludge. Listeners can expect eerie atmospheres, plodding drums, and sick melodies, combined with intense screaming.

Building on their reputation for songwriting, Doomcult has taken their craft to the next level on this album. With a superior production and the guest appearance of Rens van Herpt (Treurwilg) on vocals, the deep growls of Rens blend with J.G.'s screams to offer more diverse vocals. Additional guests include Willem Verachtert and Harm Neervens (from tribute band Imitallica).

Doomcult's misanthropic discography continues to explore themes of anti-establishment, with blasphemous lyrics that stay true to their sound. The album artwork, done by Unexpected Specter, adds to the overall experience of Life has Failed.

This solo project by J.G. Arts, who is also involved in doom-metal band White Mare, has already garnered positive reviews. Serge from merchantsofair.com calls it "one of the most genuine and spectacular releases that I've ever heard on the genre," while Chris Hawkins from doom-metal.com describes it as "striking some serious gold."

Overall, Life has Failed is a must-listen for fans of doom-metal, and a testament to Doomcult's dedication to their craft.
