Silent comes the night before
Fiever dreams haunt the people of will
A rumble wakes the ground
Some people awake most won't see
A mist of something not earthly haunts village
Bursting to the woods the evil takes it's form
A new day begins for some who see the chaos
Footprints on ruins where houses ones stood
Screams of agony echo through the valley
Night comes again
Suddenly a looming glow comes from the mountains
It opens the gate for the outer rulers
Whateley will do what his kin always did
Chaos will rule the world once and for all
In a dark century started in the dark Valley

of hooves evening the soil
A fountain of blood
Washed away by the night
Fogbound riders
Reflections in the twilight
Faint cries of days passed
They don’t belong here
The ages have dulled their blades
And taken their homes
Wives, that once waited
Are dust beneath the stones
So, they ride
With the echo of their comrades
Into a slaughter held in the mist
So, they ride
Eyeless masses through the grey
With hearts buried in the past
Still they ride
Again and again
Because they know everything

The soulless, heartless
With nothing but our spines
We are but infants in this realm
Would take my mothers tears
Over the grey, icy rain
My crooked spirit is homebound

In the frail arms of foreign ground
These arms can never hold us
Nor these plains, our shallow graves
When the wind blows homewards
Oh to be no longer enslaved
Hear me brother, Hear me sister!
Only by your side I shall find rest
As time gnaws on my bones
In your hearts I won’t stand her test

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this.

A more traditionnal one-man band affair with great song structure and hooks, the clean vocals are a nice addition. Noticed some mixing-editing mistakes (1:36 of #3) but otherwise a very enjoyable listen.
