lyrics
In the year 2135, a small group of astronauts discovered a desolate, remote planet while exploring the outer reaches of the galaxy. Among the ruins of an ancient civilization, they uncovered a hidden chamber containing a dormant alien race. Ignoring the warnings etched on the walls, Dr. Edward Kane, driven by insatiable curiosity, activated an ancient device and inadvertently awakened the extraterrestrial beings.
The aliens, known as the Vark'nar, had been trapped in a timeless sleep by their enemies for millennia, with only revenge fueling their dreams. Dr. Kane had unleashed them upon the universe, and they vowed to find the one responsible for their imprisonment.
Years later, the Vark'nar had finally tracked Dr. Kane to Earth. They were a terrifying sight—pulky, big headed with elongated limbs, sharp claws, and piercing yellow eyes that seemed to burn with a relentless hunger. As they approached Earth, they formed a terrifying alliance with an experimental musician, AntiKosmos, who shared their anarchic vision.
As night fell, the Vark'nar and AntiKosmos appeared on stage at an underground venue. The air was thick with fear and anticipation, as the band's haunting melody filled the room. The lyrics told a spine-chilling tale of the Vark'nar's pursuit of Dr. Kane, and the audience was held captive by their horrifying performance.
As the last note echoed through the room, the Vark'nar revealed themselves, their monstrous forms silhouetted against the dim stage lights. The crowd screamed and scrambled to escape, but the Vark'nar moved with supernatural speed, their claws slashing through the air as they hunted down their prey.
In the chaos, Dr. Kane tried to escape unnoticed, but the Vark'nar cornered him, their yellow eyes burning with vengeance. They dragged him back to their spacecraft, his screams drowned out by the cacophony of terrified onlookers. With their target captured, the Vark'nar returned to the cosmos, leaving behind a trail of bloodshed and a world that would never forget the night when AntiKosmos and the Vark'nar brought their horrifying tale to life.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke

Have only listened to the first three tracks so far. Somehow the indie/grunge/funereal/doom elements meld together well. Well worth a listen! 😁
Update - couldn't stop listening. No weak tracks. Music that won't stand still, but holds up well throughout. My favourite non-electronic release for some time. Thanks so much for the code! 😎 Rinchen Choesang
